Communication: A Miraculous
Therapy for Grief and Loss”
“Death ends a life. It doesn't end a relationship.” ~ Robert Anderson
IADC (Induced After-Death Communication) is a brief psychotherapy treatment for grief and loss. It was developed in 1995 by clinical psychologist, Alan Botkin, Psy.D during his work with Vietnam War veterans at the Chicago area VA hospital. Originally derived from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, IADC utilizes bilateral stimulation (BLS) with a structured and focused approach to address grief-related distress. IADC is designed to reduce the intense emotional pain that often occurs with grief and traumatic loss. As the distress lifts, many clients enter a calm, open state in which approximately 70 to 75% report a spontaneous, vivid sense of connection with their deceased loved one.

Is IADC Therapy for everyone?
IADC therapy is most effective for those whose loved one has died at a least one year prior to participating. In some cases, it is possible to do the therapy sooner. The process requires an initial 30-minute screening (no charge) to assess whether IADC therapy may be a good fit for you. I am able to facilitate the IADC protocol for individuals living in the state of Colorado only due to licensing restrictions, and will only accept clients for whom a positive outcome is likely based on the screening.
